Andrea Jermini

Biography

Andrea Jermini is a young pianist driven by a profound sense of creativity. The composer and conductor Heinz Holliger has described him as „capable of combining intelligence and musical sensitivity.” At the invitation of Francesco Piemontesi, he made his debut at the „Settimane Musicali di Ascona“. He is currently pursuing a Specialized Master's degree in Solo Performance at the Haute École de Musique de Genève in the class of Cédric Pescia, a highly selective program that admits only a small number of instrumentalists each year. He is the recipient of the Yamaha Scholarship Award Switzerland and the Concours d’Interprétation Musicale de Lausanne. He performs regularly throughout Switzerland and collaborates with various foundations and cultural institutions in Switzerland and Italy, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician.
