Pierpaolo Buggiani

Biography

Pierpaolo Buggiani studies with Maestro Carlo Palese at the Conservatory of Lucca, where he graduated with top honours (110 cum laude) and received a special mention of honour. He is the recent winner of the "S. Stančić Competition“ in Zagreb, where he also received the Beethoven Prize and the prize awarded by the Croatian Radiotelevision Symphony Orchestra. In addition, he has won prizes in numerous competitions, including the Ettlingen Piano Competition and the Premio Chopin in Rome. He has performed for important institutions in Italy and abroad, including the Società dei Concerti di Milano, the Fundación Eutherpe in León, the Verona Piano Festival, and Lucca Classica, as well as in venues such as the Teatro Goldoni in Livorno, the Lisinski Hall in Zagreb, and the Konzerthaus Bozen. He has attended masterclasses with distinguished musicians, including Boris Berman, Wojciech Świtała, Josu de Solaun, and Ilya Itin.
