Sakurako Kita

Biography

Sakurako Kita studied at the Tokyo University of the Arts with Prof. Eguchi Akira and is currently a student of Lilya Zilberstein at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She has received prizes at numerous international competitions, including major prizes at PTNA, the Jenö Takács Competition, the Arthur Rubinstein International Youth Piano Competition, the Japan Piano Open, the Classic Piano Competition, the Beethoven International Piano Competition Asia, “Merci, Maestro!”, and the Vladimir Krainev Moscow Competition. In 2025 she received Second Prize at the Emmanuel Durlet Competition, Fifth Prize at the Lyon International Piano Competition, and also qualified for the preliminary round of the Fryderyk Chopin International Piano Competition.
