Shunshun Tie

Biography

Shunshun Tie began playing the piano at the age of three. He later enrolled at the Middle School Affiliated to the Central Conservatory of Music. Shunshun is currently studying at the Central Conservatory of Music under Professor Danwen Wei. In 2016, Shunshun won First Prize and the Prize for Best Polonaise Performance at the 1st Beijing Chopin International Piano Competition for Young Pianists, Junior Division. In 2017, Shunshun was invited by Mickiewicz University to give a concert in Żelazowa Wola, Chopin’s former residence. Shunshun has collaborated on numerous occasions with the China Philharmonic Orchestra and the Central Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra, and has given dozens of solo concerts. He has also participated in many major international competitions. In 2021, he advanced to the first round of the 18th International Chopin Piano Competition, and in 2024, he advanced to the second round of the Leeds International Piano Competition.
